A Theoretical Vector of Time

a theoretical vector of time:

imagine a 2D map of the multiversal grid. consider the solo traveller in a moving pod car beginning the journey away from the grid square it calls home, in a perpetual state of motion. its original vector may be northeast, for example, at a certain speed. if we consider each grid square a different form of space, as the journey continues further into alien space, the traveller and even his pod car may be significantly affected. the vector changes as the direction and the speed of the pod car alter.

although the traveller is not completely alone, for there are other travellers in other pod cars nearby who influence our traveller's journey.

is there a way home? is there a tractor beam force, in effect, that guides our travellers homewards in an instant?
